Artistic Director
Yvonne began her dance career at the early
age of three at “The School of the Dance Arts”
in Auburn, NY. Through the school Yvonne competed in numerous
competitions such as Dance Masters of America, NYC, Dance
Educators, NYC, and Hectors Dance Caravan, NYC. Through the
conventions Yvonne was able to work with numerous artists
of TV, and stage. Her regional credits in theatre include;
42nd Street, Anything Goes, A Funny Thing Happened On the
Way to the Forum, Oklahoma, and Damn Yankees.
Her professional choreography credits include; How to Succeed
in Business Without Really Trying, Anything Goes, Godspell,
Oklahoma, South Pacific, Suessical The Musical, Meet Me In
St. Louis, Bye Bye Birdie, Once Upon A Mattress, and Footloose.
Her passion for Dance and Musical Theater brought her to further
her training at the University at Buffalo Dance Department.
While attending UB, Yvonne was a member of the Zodiaque Dance
Company, Director/Choreographer/Dancer for the Dancer’s
Workshop, Dancer/Choreographer for the StudioWerks Dance Ensemble,
Dancer/Choreographer for the Young Choreographers Workshop,
Dancer in Curtains Up a Tribute to Bob Fosse, Teacher Assistant
Program for William Thomas, and Shelly Hain. While attending
the University at Buffalo Yvonne was on the Dean’s List
every year. Yvonne, has trained under such professionals as;
Thomas Ralabate, Lynne Kurdziel-Formato, William Thomas, Karen
Georger, Jeanne Fornarola, Elizabeth Waddell, Eileen Lambert,
Shelly Hain, Tressa Gorman-Crehan, and Joyce Miller-Lychtenberger.
Yvonne has completed residences and master classes with; American
Ballet Theater, Paul Taylor Dance Company, Doug Verone, Gus
Giordano, Limon Dance Company, Cello Movement, Musical Theater
Productions, Cleo Parker-Robinson Dance Ensemble, Janet Reed
and Dancers, Rockette Experience, Darrin’s Dance Grooves,
Garth Fagan Dance Company, Thommie Walsh, Todd Lattimore,
Ben Munnister Dance Company.
In 2001, Yvonne returned to Auburn and opened up the Absolute
Dance Studio and founded the Absolute Dance Company. She built
the institution to give dancers of Central NY a facility that
produces the “well-rounded” dancer. Yvonne believes
in nourishing the heart and soul of the aspiring dancer and
giving them the resources to develop a solid foundation to
pursue a career in the dance arts. Yvonne founded the Absolute
Dance Company to give students in Central NY, the opportunity
to work in a professional environment, enhance their skills
in auditioning and performing, and to give back to their community
through the art of dance. In 2004 Yvonne collaborated with
Lisa Ientilucci and Jennifer Antropoli to form the C.O.R.E.
Dance Project, a professional touring dance company.
Ballet Instructor
Kim Sikorski began studying dance in Greenville, SC with Thierry
and Martine Dorado of the Paris Opera Ballet and Andrew &
Merry Kuharsky of Atlanta Ballet. She studied at summer programs
at the School of American Ballet in New York City and North
Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. Kim went on
to perform professionally with Atlanta Ballet, Charleston
Ballet Theater, and Ballet Arkansas before moving to New York
City. Kim worked in New York City for 13 years as a freelance
dancer and teacher while performing with Eglevsky Ballet and
Ballet for Young Audiences. Kim is currently living in Syracuse,
NY working at Boom Babies and is happy to be sharing her love
of dance with everyone at Absolute Dance Studio!
Ballet Instructor
Lindsay Reed began studying dance at The Dance Connection
under Ann Doris Szymaniak & Anne Trebilcock in Binghamton,
NY. At the school Lindsay competed in numerous state and national
dance competitions and won numerous awards. She trained intensely
in Ballet and Pointe under Danita Emma & Danielle Fontaine.
She continued her education at Manhattanville College where
she worked and performed with many guest artists including;
Nicholas Leichter, Julia K. Gleich, and, The Haring Project
by Valerie Pullman (inspired by the Artist Keith Haring) which
performed special performance in Purchase NY, and Darien Dance
Center in, CT. While attending Manhattanville she also had
the opportunity to choreograph numerous pieces for dance concert
events. She later transferred to The University at Buffalo
where she received her BA in Dance. While attending UB, she
did residences with Bill T. Jones and the Arnie Zane Dance
Company, Limon Dance Company, Ailey II, Margie Gillis, and
American Ballet Theatre’s Dance Company. Her love and
passion for dance brought her here to the Absolute Dance Studio.
Assistant Director/Ballet Director
Trisha began her dance career studying with
John Hayes O’Neill. At the John Hayes O’Neill
Studio, Trisha had the opportunity to also work with Stephen
and Canan Jackson. Trisha studied at numerous dance intensive
programs including; Cleveland Ballet School, Boston Ballet,
and Nutmeg Ballet.Trisha, began her professional career
with the Fort Worth Ballet, under Director Paul Meja. Trisha
was also awarded a Apprenticeship with the Cleveland/SanJose
Ballet under Director Dennis Nahat. She later decided to pursue
her education at Marist College where she earned a BS in Finance.
She continued dancing and teaching in Poughkeepsie and choreographed
for the Marist Dance Team. After graduating, Trisha moved
to California. She taught at the Westchester Ballet School
in California. Trisha continued her training at the West Side
Ballet School in Santa Monica, and the Stefan Wenta Dance
School in Los Angeles. Trisha moved back to Central NY and
has brought to the Absolute Dance School a strong, and solid
foundation in ballet to all the students attending. She is
a member of the C.O.R.E Dance Project and we are thrilled
to have her as part of the Absolute Dance Family.
Musical Theater Productions/Board Member
Anna has done numerous shows for local and regional theaters.
She later pursued her education at the University at Buffalo
where she received her BFA in Musical Theater and a BA in
Anthropology. Her professional credits include; West Side
Story, Carousel, Showboat, Starmites, and Peter Pan. She returned
to Auburn, and is part of the faculty at A.D., Absolute Dance
Company, and Musical Theater Productions.
Rehearsal Director/Mentor
Jill received her B.A. in Dance from James Madison University.
Jill was member of the Virginia Repertory Dance Company and
the Contemporary Dance Ensemble. Jill also had the opportunity
to perform at the American College Dance Festival both National
and Regional. At the American Dance Festival in Durham, NC,
Jill had the opportunity to work with many notable choreographers
including; David Dorfmen, Mark Halm, Bill T. Jones, Trisha
Brown, and Paul Taylor. Jill has danced professionally with
the Absolute Dance Company, Dance Magic International, West
Virginia Dance Company, and Kitchen Sink Dance Company. Jill
is the Director of Dance for the Arts Academy in South Boston
VA and recently received her massage therapy license. Jill
is a contributing choreographer and instructor at Absolute
Dance.
Break Dance
Dean is a part of the Zero Gravity Break Dance organization
and is our newest faculty member at Absolute Dance. We are
thrilled to have him a part of the Absolute Dance Family!
Youth Program
Tiffany, holds a Master’s Degree in Education from Canisius
College, Buffalo, NY. She began her dancing career at the
age of five dancing for Bettina Pausley. She has done numerous
professional shows, dance intensives, and master classes in
N.Y City and the N.Y. region.
African Instructor/Choreographer
Jennifer is currently working on her BA in Dance & Fashion
at Buffalo State College. This fall, she will be spending
a semester in Manchester, England studying fashion and dance.
Jennifer participated in the Rockette Experience in 2003-2005.
In 2006, she will again be studying with the Rockettes during
the Radio Cities Rockette Summer Intensive in Philadelphia.
Jennifer has completed master classes with Janet Reed, Cleo
Parker Dance Ensemble, and Michelle Scott/Garth Fagan Dance
Company. Jennifer Lubaszewski, has been an active member of
the Absolute Dance School and ADC Company since the beginning!
Jennifer is an active member of the ADC Company.
Youth Program/Modern
Jennica has been dancing at the Absolute Dance School and
with the ADC Company since 2002. She went to CW Post Campus
of Long Island University. While attending Long Island University,
Jennica had the opportunity to work with Beth Trimm, former
member of the Cunningham Dance Company, Cara Gargano, former
member of the New York City Ballet, and Uttara Coorlawalla,
who trained under Martha Graham. She has done concentrations
in Ballet, Pointe, Modern, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Choreography.
Jennica has completed many master classes including Janet
Reed, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Ensemble, Jose Limon, Merle
Holloman, and Michelle Scott from Garth Fagan Dance Company.
Jennica will be continuing her education in dance & therapy
at Cortland University. Jennica is an active member with the
ADC Company and we are thrilled to have her back!!
