The Absolute Dance Company was founded in
2002 by Artistic Director, Yvonne Villano-Hassett. Absolute
Dance Company is a not-for-profit organization located in
downtown Auburn, New York. Yvonne established ADC as a stepping
stone for aspiring dancers to refine their technique and cultivate
their aptitude for the art of dance. This program enables
the aspiring dancer to experience the rigorous process of
an authentic audition including a formative evaluation that
provides immediate feedback for the dancers on an individual
basis. It also offers a year of intensive activity studying
whole dance method from technique, performance, choreography,
and technical stage design. Company dancers in this program
also benefit from working with an elite group of professional
choreographers from across the region, and master classes
by professional dance companies.
Yvonne Villano-Hassett & ADC seek to
make a significant difference in the appreciation of dance
as an art form by encouraging diversity and cultivating a
passion for dance in the hearts and minds of the Central NY
community and across New York State.
ADC (ages 16 & older) and ADCII Dance
Ensemble (ages 12 & Older) perform original choreography
composed by Absolute Dance instructors and guest choreographers
from across the region nationally and internationally. ADC
is honored to have such great artists as; Jennifer Antropoli,
Jennifer Obi, Natalie LoMascolo, Michelle Majchszak, Lisa
Ientilucci, Tricia Famolaro, Trisha Sears, Jennifer Lubaszewski,
Jill Bradley, Toneta Akers-Toler of West Virginia Dance Company-Theatre

ADC encourages members to give back to our
community through dance. The Company has performed for many
community and regional events such as SAVAR Take Back the
Night, Cayuga Community College Holiday Festival, Cayuga County
Chamber of Commerce Home Expo, Cayuga County Arts Councils
New Years Eve Celebration, NAMI fundraiser Holiday Inn, Kalets
& Westminster nursing home, Boyle Center, City of Rochester
Katrina Relief in Rochester, NY, Dance Rochester Arts Council,
Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Fundraiser, Syracuse, NY.
Absolute Dance Company has been recognized
by the Cayuga County Legislature as a National Dance Week
Representative. Our members have also attended; National Dance
Week Concert in Ithaca,NY, The Rockette Experience, The Jazz
World Congress, Darrin's Dance Grooves, and, Extreme Talent
Convention. ADC has taken part in numerous master classes
by: Janet Reed of Janet Reed and Dancers Dance Company, Michelle
Scot of, Garth Fagan Dance Company, Cleo Parker Robinson Dance
Ensemble, and Benn Munnister Dance Company.
In its third successful season the Absolute
Dance Company added a new component to the ADC family. C.O.R.E
Dance Project is a collaborative company directed by; Yvonne
Villano-Hassett, Lisa Ientilucci, Jennifer Antropoli. C.O.R.E.
Dance Project is a professional dance company made up of highly
trained professional dancers from all over NY State. The Companies
mission is to educate, entertain, and promote the appreciation
for the art of dance by appearing as guest speakers for local
schools, instructing master classes, and performing locally,
regionally, and across the nation.
Artistic Director and Founder Yvonne Villano-Hassett
believes in nourishing the heart and spirit of the well-rounded
dancer, by encouraging Company members to appreciate the soul
of the movement and demonstrate their own unique expression.
Yvonneís dancers surge past limitations with pure physical
strength and sheer mental intensity. Hassett strives to pull
these characteristics from each company member creating the
semblance of the Absolute Dancer.

ADC is a not-for-profit organization supported
through grants and donations from sponsors & patrons.
This funding allows ADC to stage the finest dance concerts
in the region. There has never been a better time to enrich

choreographers, host master classes, retaining performance
space, lighting & costume design, and further our company
